Tenuta Enza La Fauci

Faro, Sicily, Italy

Tenuta Enza La Fauci

Overlooking the entrance of the Messina Strait in the vicinity of the historic “Capo Peloro” are the beautiful vineyards of Tenuta Enza La Fauci. A mixture of clay and limestone with a high winter rainfall and strong winds throughout the season provide excellent conditions in this unique part of Sicily.

The vineyards are worked by hand in organic practice. Zibibbo, and Grecanico from a high-altitude vineyard in Etna, 1200m above sea level, make up the whites with Nerello Mascalese the predominate red grape in the Obli Faro DOC. Standing in the high-altitude vineyards you can feel the wind which ensures clean, perfect fruit resulting in fresh, textured wines which are a beautiful representation of this part of Sicily.
